Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef steak (thinly sliced)
  • ½ cup ground roasted peanuts
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Wooden skewers (soaked)

Instructions

  1. Mix peanuts, spices, and salt to make suya spice (yaji).
  2. Brush beef with oil, then coat generously with yaji.
  3. Thread beef onto skewers.
  4. Grill, oven-bake, or pan-sear until cooked and lightly charred.
  5. Sprinkle extra yaji before serving.

Serve With

  • Sliced onions, tomatoes, cabbage
  • Extra suya spice on the side
